Who will be the Next CM of Tamil Nadu?
Who will be the Replacement of Jayalalitha? Panneerselvam or V.K Sasikala?
Panneerselvam and V.K Sasikala |
Panneerselvam started his
political career as a worker of the united DMK in
1969 at the age of 18..He was sworn in as the 13th Chief
Minister of Tamil Nadu in September 2001 when
the Chief Minister J
Jayalalithaa was barred from holding office by the Supreme Court of India. Again, he became the Minister of Finance in
Jayalalithaa's government and held the office from 16 May 2011 to 27 September
2014.
On 6 December 2016,
Panneerselvam was elected as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu following the death of incumbent Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. On December 10 he held his first cabinet meeting
as a full-term Chief Minister. He tended his resignation as the Chief
Minister of Tamil Nadu on 6th February, 2017 to the governor, who accepted and
appointed him as the caretaker Chief Minister of the state to avoid a
leadership vaccum, until further measures could be taken.
Vivekanandan
Krishnaveni Sasikala is an Indian politician who is the acting general secretary
of AIADMK. She was a close aide
of J. Jayalalithaa, the former Chief Minister of Tamil
Nadu, who headed AIADMK from 1989 until her death
in 2016. After Jayalalithaa's death, the party's general council unanimously
appointed her as the chief of AIADMK. Sasikala is proposed to become the next
Chief Minister.
Mr Panneerselvam has alleged that the legislators are being
held captive. To prove that they are not, Ms Sasikala held a press conference
at the resort with the legislators flanking her on Sunday. On the table in
front of them was a photo of Ms Jayalalithaa or "Amma"
(mother).

The Supreme Court will deliver a verdict in the
disproportionate assets case against VK Sasikala at 10:30 am on Tuesday. With
the crisis worsening in Tamil Nadu, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has advised
Governor Vidyasagar Rao to call for a floor test in the Assembly.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court today asking the
Governor to invite Ms Sasikala to form government within the next 24 hours. The
Supreme Court will hear on February 17 another petition which says Ms Sasikala
must not be sworn in before its verdict in a corruption case against her.
Whoever may be the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, they need to
work hard to get benefit to their People. Because Tamil Nadu is already in Huge
Debts due to natural Calamities.
